We are proud to announce that GISS has again been awarded the title of ‘Excellent German School Abroad’.

The German Consul, Mr Lothar Freischlader, officially presented GISS with the seal of approval during a morning assembly in front of the whole school community.

This Gütesiegel (seal of approval), which was signed by German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, follows the successful ‘Federal State Inspection of German Schools Abroad’ (BLI) which monitors the quality of teaching and is organised by the Central Agency for Schools Abroad (ZfA).

The German Consul congratulated the school Principal, Mr Erhard Seifert, and his successor, Dr Lorenz Metzger, who is currently in Sydney for the handover program.
